The old host of this site was torn down and rebuilt recently (funny enough it was a Sheetz before, is a Sheetz now, and has what appears to be the same footprint as before, so I have no idea why they had to tear it down and rebuild it). The previous charging station was a single basic EVgo station with one CCS and one CHAdeMO connector. It was great in 2014 or so when they put it in and I was driving a LEAF, but certainly not going to cut it these days.
But check out these pictures I took yesterday of this site. This is going to be one really awesome site once construction is finished! It doesn't look like it's going to be EVgo (or at least not any EVgo station I've seen). It also doesn't have the signature Electrify America solar canopy (yes, the canopy does appear to be solar--even though I couldn't see the top of it--see the picture of the Solar PV System switch). It also doesn't appear to be Tesla. Looks like 12 stalls altogether with at least one accessible spot. Each "island" will have two pedestals serving the adjacent spots. Looks like a tight fit on the back stations with the trash can. They may have to rethink that, but I appreciate the thought.
This is going to be one sweet station when it is finally built. I hope that this is a blueprint for how Sheetz is going to add charging to their stores.
I like how they have garbage cans (with trash bags in them already) and squeegees, even though the charging equipment is nowhere to be seen. By the way, this structure has been there now for quite some time, and the new store & gas station is now open, so they're basically waiting on the charging hardware at this point.
