Pretty wild that three separate charging station operators are apparently going to be in the same parking lot, especially given how many underserved areas still exist in the state.

Gotta put them where they are most likely to see high utilization I guess.

Fortunately, the Alabama NEVI RFP has some priority sections of Interstate called out that are underserved. I-65 around Cullman and Clanton are of particular interest to me.

Some progress there as of today; the power cabinets were all installed on the pad and it looked like the meter and transformer were installed, but no charging posts yet. A huge area is fenced off, probably 2-3x the area that was fenced off in Warner Robins/Fort Valley during construction. With the pace Mercedes seems to be maintaining at other sites, it possibly could open in the next week or two.
