New DCFCs coming to Mississippi, thanks to the Tennessee Valley Authority

Tennessee Valley Authority will be installing fast chargers throughout northern Mississippi.

Three known locations are Oxford Downtown Parking Garage, Starkville Utilities Headquarters, and Starkville Sportsplex.

Locations of other DCFCs are still unknown.

I think I've tracked down a couple of references to a forthcoming site in Tupelo to be hosted by Tombigbee EPA. Their most recent posted meeting notes refer to "an update to the board on the new EV charging station in the mall area" (Source: Tombigbee EPA April 2024 board meeting minutes), which tracks with an November 2022 press release from MDEQ that Tombigbee EPA received VW settlement money for two charging stations at the Kohl's department store in Tupelo, presumably as matching funds for a TVA site since the same amount was pledged for the sites in Columbus and Oxford that have gone live in the last year.
