I thinking about how to make the map feature more useful, the number one and two enhancements being the ability to filter by provider and by power level, I am thinking of splitting the map page into individual pages to allow for that filtering.
Current map layers allow filtering by status (Planned, Permit, Construction, Open, Closed), and adding additional layers to that to represent network provider and max power level would make the map increasingly (and probably impossibly) complex.
Therefore, I am considering having (at least) two additional Map pages--Map by Network and Map by Power Level--in addition to renaming the existing map as Map by Status to provide this functionality. I think this will meet the needs of users of this site. Before I get too far down that road, I wanted to solicit your opinions. Do you agree with this direction? Do you have any other suggestions or ideas?
